[tag]Wedding table decorations[/tag] can vary from simple to extravagant, fun to romantic, personalized to themed. Small wonder that deciding on what to use (and what to leave out) can be a hard choice to make!
Choose a Theme
Themed tables always go down well, as the various elements of the display are all chosen to complement each other. A theme can be anything from a fun idea (western, for example, or based in a specific time period) to choosing a single color to base the wedding table decorations around.
When choosing your decorations, it pays to consider all the different aspects of a wedding table. Think about the linen, the napkins, the [tag]wedding favors[/tag], the centerpiece, and the place cards. All of these items need to be pulled together to create one complete table – a happy marriage of all the separate components, if you will.
Simple Ideas
Simple ideas can make all the difference to any wedding table. You can scatter confetti or petals across the tables, in a color to match the main table decoration. At a recent wedding I went to, the confetti was silver and upon closer inspection it was actually the two first name initials of the happy couple linked together by a heart. It was a very simple touch… but a very effective one too.
Skeleton leaves can be bought very cheaply in many different shades, and you can use them to adorn each wedding favor box or bag, as well as adding them to the centerpiece. Another excellent and fun addition to the table is champagne bubbles. These are available in either tiny bottles or glasses and can be placed next to the wine glasses when your guests first arrive. A very environmentally friendly alternative to confetti and an unusual [tag]wedding table decoration idea[/tag].
Add Some Candles
And never underestimate the power of candles to impress at any wedding table, whatever the overall look may be. They are cheap and easy to add to any display. Why not try something a little unusual and buy several candles of different heights, to create a line of descending candles at opposite ends of each table? If you have round tables, buy two different heights of candle and use an even number alternately around the center.
Whatever your overall theme and budget may be, a little creative thinking is all that’s needed to lift a beautiful table design and turn it into something truly memorable.
